How we protect the site

The site runs over an SSL certificate. Checkout pages, account pages, and forms load as HTTPS. That encrypts the connection between your browser and the server while the data is in transit. SSL does not mean we can see your full card number. Card payments are handled by the payment provider, not stored as a full card number on our own computers.

Information we collect

We collect what we need to take an order and to answer you later:

  • Name, email, phone number, and shipping address
  • Billing name and address when they differ from shipping
  • Order contents, price, tax, and shipping method
  • Messages you send to info@ashlynnest.com or through the contact form
  • Account email and order history if you create an account
  • Basic site data such as pages viewed, cart contents, and device type, through cookies needed for checkout

We do not ask for your Social Security number. We do not store complete payment-card numbers on our servers.

What we use it for

We use this information to:

  • Process, pack, and ship your order through USPS
  • Send order and tracking emails
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds
  • Answer questions about an order
  • Keep tax and accounting records required in the United States
  • Keep the cart and checkout working on the site

That is the list. We do not build advertising profiles from your orders.

What we will not do

We do not sell your name, email, phone number, address, or order history.

We do not give your information to advertisers, data brokers, or marketing lists.

We do not use your information to run ads, lookalike audiences, or paid remarketing unless you have clearly agreed to that use. If you never agree, we will not use it that way.

Who else sees an order

A payment processor sees the payment details required to charge the card or PayPal account. USPS sees the name and address needed to deliver the package. We give them only what that task requires.

We may also disclose information if a U.S. law, court order, or tax authority requires it.

Cookies

The site uses cookies so a cart can be saved and so checkout can finish. You can block cookies in your browser. If you block all cookies, checkout may not complete.

We do not use your cookies to sell ads.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as U.S. tax and accounting rules require. If you want your account email removed, write to us. We may still keep the order record itself where the law says we must.

Your requests

Email info@ashlynnest.com if you want to know what we have on file for you, if you need an address corrected, or if you want a marketing-style use turned off. We do not send promotional mail unless you asked for it.
