This organizer hangs from a light, unfinished wood dowel. The dowel sits in two adhesive brackets that stick to a smooth painted wall. Two canvas layouts are offered. One is a flat panel with six narrow pockets in a row, suited to spoons, whisks, scissors, or brushes. The other is a pair of deeper pouches on the same rod, suited to cloths or small boards.
The canvas is undyed and shows the weave. It will pick up kitchen splatters. Spot clean; do not soak the whole panel while it is on the wall. Test the adhesive brackets on your paint before you load the pockets. They hold on clean, dry, smooth walls. They are a poor match for textured plaster, wallpaper, or tile with heavy grout lines.
Do not mount the organizer over a gas cooktop or next to an open flame. The wood rod is unfinished and may show grain or a small mill mark. Heavy cast-iron tools will pull the brackets off the wall; keep the load to light utensils. Remove the canvas from the rod if you need to wash a stained pocket.
