AshlynNest Jute Cylinder Hamper with Rope Handles

This hamper is a tall cylinder covered in coarse natural jute. The cloth shows the slub and open weave of the fiber, so the surface looks dry and rustic rather than smooth. Two cream twisted-rope handles pass through metal grommets on opposite sides of the rim. The interior is unlined jute.

The upright shape is meant to stand on the floor and take stuffed toys, spare blankets, or a day’s laundry. It stands when empty, but the rim can oval slightly if the hamper is overfilled on one side. There is no lid and no bottom frame. Small items can catch in the jute weave, so this is a poor choice for loose buttons, beads, or fine jewelry.

Keep it away from wet floors and from long contact with damp clothes. Shake it out to remove dust and lint. Do not machine wash. The metal grommets may show a darker ring where they were set. Color of the jute will vary from batch to batch; it is a plant fiber, not a dyed solid. If the hamper arrives flattened from shipping, stand it up and let the walls relax for a few hours.
