This is a rectangular cloth drape sized to sit over a countertop microwave. The top is a plain panel. Each short side has an open pocket for a towel, a spoon rest, or a small notepad. The fabric is a tight cotton blend in beige or light taupe.
The cover keeps dust off the appliance and gives the counter a finished look when the microwave is not in use. It is not heat-proof. Lift it off completely before you run the microwave. Do not drape it over a toaster oven or a gas range.
Pocket depth is shallow. Bottles will not stand in the pocket. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and air dry to limit shrinkage. A hot dryer can tighten the cloth so it no longer sits flat. Smooth the cover with your hands after washing; there is no need to iron unless you want a sharper edge. Keep it away from dye-heavy towels that can bleed in the wash.
