AshlynNest Oval Two-Tone Cotton Rope Basket

This basket is coiled from cotton rope and shaped as a low oval rather than a circle or a square. The lower half of the wall is a natural jute-colored rope; the upper half is off-white. The two colors meet in a fairly even band around the body. Handles are made from the same rope, wrapped at the grip, and sit on the long sides.

The oval base sits flat on a table or counter. It is sized for bottles, snack packs, mail, or remote controls, not for a full load of laundry. The coiled wall is firm enough to stand on its own, but it will flex if you press it. There is no lining and no lid. Rope can catch fine crumbs, so loose dry food is better kept in a bag inside the basket.

It is not waterproof and should not sit in a wet sink area. Spot clean with a dry or barely damp cloth and let it air dry. Because each piece is coiled by hand, the height of the color band and the exact oval width can vary a little from the sample photo. Do not machine wash or put it in a dryer.
